Raul exchanged with President of Ecuador
Guantanamo, Aug. 26, (CMKS) .- Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and the Council of Ministers of Cuba, and President of the Republic of Ecuador, Rafael Correa Delgado, had an extensive exchange of viewpoints on Tuesday as part of private visit to our country by the head of state of the sister South American nation.
So, they carried on the talks started when they both first met in Brazil on December 2008 at the Summit that took place there. The conversation was resumed a few days later, during the official visit of President Correa to Cuba, and continued last July, when Raul attended the Ecuadorian head of state’s inauguration, after his victory in elections held following the enactment of the new Constitution.
Raul and Correa expressed their satisfaction with the positive and growing bilateral ties. They also assessed the international situation, especially the issues that most concern to Latin America and the Caribbean nowadays.
Mrs. Anne Malherbe, wife of President Correa, attended also the meeting.
